For the second year running MMU Make a Difference, Volunteering and Unilever joined forces to return to the Shakespearean themed sensory roof garden at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

The weather this year was not as friendly to our volunteers however they still braved the blistering winds and rain on the day to spruce up the roof garden for the patients at the hospital with a smile on their faces.

To find out what happened on the day here is a video by Neil Harrison, a third year History student at MMU https://vimeo.com/130440857

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the following people:

The Unilever PG Tips team: For their donations which keep this project alive and their volunteer support on the day.

Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital: for giving us this opportunity to come and make a difference to the patients

Jill Wells: Project leader and head of volunteering for helping us create this amazing space

Scott Tanswell: Project leader for taking on this project for two years running who has also won a prize for his leadership and community impact
