The next Time to Talk Day will be on Thursday 4th February 2016.
Join MMU’s Time to Change Society in Geoffrey Manton on Thursday 4th February and let’s get the nation talking about mental health to help end the misconceptions around it!
Mental health problems affect 1 in 4 people every year, yet too often people are afraid to talk about their experiences because they fear it will affect their jobs or relationships. That’s not right and it’s why we need your help to break the silence and end the stigma.
The aim of the Society is to start a conversation… or hopefully thousands of conversations.
They want to empower people with mental health problems to feel confident talking about the issue without facing discrimination.
There are a variety of activities to get involved and stall to visit. Activities include a bake sale, a raffle, a poetry workshop and a ‘Shared Lived Experiences with Discussion’ workshop.
Stalls you can visit on the day are:
- YASP– the young person’s programme for Mind
- Big Life Group
- MMU Sport
- MMU Speech, Language and Communication Society
- MMU Ohana Society
